Lilies in Bloom: A Celebration of Girls
This October 11, in honor of International Day of the Girl Child, M4C Foundation invites you to Lilies in Bloom, a special afternoon celebrating for girls between grade K to 12, and the journeys they are still becoming.
From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, girls will gather for tea, connection, and conversation. They will hear from women leaders and mentors during an inspiring panel, then take part in a storytelling circle, a space where every girl gets to reflect on her own growth and be truly heard.
Every girl is somewhere in her own blooming, some just beginning to open, others further along, learning what it means to stand fully in who they are. This event is a reminder that every stage of that journey deserves to be celebrated.
We would love for you to be part of it, and we welcome parents to join us as volunteers.

Malyun’s childhood was marked by loss and struggle. After losing both parents, she lived with her grandmother, a camel milk vendor in Isiolo, facing extreme hardship—sometimes sleeping on the floor, unsure of her next meal.
Everything changed when she found a home at Sakina Home for Girls.
Now, she receives nutritious meals, a safe place to sleep, and a loving environment where she can just be a child again.
Malyun is now thriving in school, embracing opportunities she never imagined—riding the school bus, enjoying the swimming pool, and excelling in her studies.
Her dream? To become a pediatrician and give back to children like her.
